An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Therapy Technical Instructor to join our dynamic Fragility Fracture Integrated Therapy team.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to support the delivery of high quality care and rehabilitation for patients recovering from fragility fractures. This static position will give you the opportunity to develop skills and experience within a specialised area, working alongside experienced Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy technicians .
Main duties of the job
Key Duties:
- To work autonomously managing and prioritising own patient caseload under the supervision of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
- Facilitation of discharge planning through mobility progression, functional assessments where appropriate, and identify the need for and issue equipment.
- To carry out Cognitive assessments under the supervision of Occupational Therapists.
- To provide support and supervision to B3 Therapy Technicians, Apprentices and Students.
- To provide education to the wider Multi-disciplinary Team.
- Support with data collection and audit to facilitate and improve service delivery.
Whilst this is a Static Role on the Fragility Fracture ward the Trust is committed to the provision of a 7 day service. Applicants to this post would be expected to participate in a 7-day working rota including working weekends. Therapy is provided until 6pm Monday - Friday, so this role would also include working extended hours on a rota. You will complete competencies and experience working in other areas within the trust including: Trauma, Elective, Neurosurgery, ARTU, CT and Paediatrics.
