We have a opportunity for a registered nurse with an active or up coming NMC pin, to join our team
Our skilled team provide surgical nursing care for upper and lower GI patients, care for patients from emergency portals and patients stepping out of our level 1 and level 2 areas within the organisation
We pride ourselves in team working to enable us to provide compassionate care to our service users, working in line with varied multi disciplinary staff to ensure surgical pathways are met in line with the trust policies and our UHNM trust values
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate requires to have the ability to work within a team, to be an effective communicator and to care for patients through their surgical inpatient journey using varied surgical pathways
Possess the key attributes and skills of a registered staff nurse in line with our trust policy and procedures and to work to enable a positive culture with the desire for continued professional development
To care for acute post operative patients, an understanding of sepsis prevention management, ANTT care and the ability to deliver a range of pain management medications to name some of the required skills
The ability to safety prioritise care, use critical thinking to achieve best patient outcomes using effective time management
