12 month Fixed Term MRI Imaging Department Assistant - Maternity Leave Cover
An opportunity has arisen to join the MRI team on a fixed term basis (12 month maternity leave cover) as an Imaging Department Assistant at UHNM . The post will be based at Royal Stoke, but the post holder will be expected to work duties at County Hospital , Stoke-on-Trent Community Diagnostic Centre and any other UHNM MRI scanner locations.You must be experienced in health care and/or working with the public, and be able to provide excellent patient care to the broad mix of patients we see in MRI. Your caring and approachable manner will support our patients, some of whom may be very anxious or unwell.
Main duties of the job
Your efficiency and organisational skills will help us to ensure we see our patients on time. You will be required to liaise with the radiographers, ward staff, porters and patients to ensure inpatients are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties include generalpatient care, initial safety screening for MRI (checked by the radiographers), cannulation of patients, safe use of equipment and department cleanliness, data input and clerical duties. Excellent communication and positive telephone manner is essential.The department is open from 6.45am until 8pm, seven days a week, including Bank Holidays. Full training will be provided.
