Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. An opportunity has arisen for a role to support our Speech and Language and Dietetics teams at UHNM

The post holder will be required to undertake duties to help support the Dietetic and Speech & Language Therapy Service/s. This will include general administrative duties. The post holder will also answer telephone enquiries and assist in the day to day duties in the department. The post holder will support an established admin team in Dietetics to provide a safe and reliable administrative service.

Candidates should possess a professional attitude towards their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy environment. You will be required to work as part of a team, as well as being able to use your own initiative and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for communicating information, both written and verbal, with patients, staff and carers requiring tact and diplomacy. The post holder will also be responsible for handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement and acquired knowledge to assess each situation and to deal with accordingly.

The work is wide ranging from the handling of general internal calls, external patient calls and patient relative enquiries and calls from other Healthcare professionals.
