Band 6 - Outreach Nurse Vacancies
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Critical Care Outreach team at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
We are looking for applicants who are motivated, passionate about patient safety, and keen to expand their skill set. The role is often fast paced, with a challenging and varied workload across a range of specialities (including neurosurgery, cardiology, trauma & orthopaedics, maternity, acute medicine, general surgery, oncology & infectious diseases). The applicant will need excellent communication skills and the ability to react to the ever-changing needs of the patients.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Working independently and autonomously across the organisation to respond to the needs of deteriorating patients, responding to cardiac arrest calls, medical emergency calls, attending trauma calls and responding to the 'Call for Concern/Martha's rule' service
Supporting the band 7 team in delivering education across the organisation.
Participating in audit, governance, and delivering high quality care with a wide range of clinical skills
Following up all patients discharged from Critical Care
Supporting the ward teams
Supporting the medical team with deteriorating patients throughout the hospital
Transfer of acutely ill patients
Demonstrating excellent leadership qualities
