Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for Band 2 and Band 3 roles. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient and motivated individual to join our extremely busy administration team. You will be responsible for welcoming patients/visitors to The Heart & Lung Department and ensuring all cardiac investigations are logged/booked according to National Targets.
You must have the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines as well as the ability to work as a team player. Competent computer skills are essential and a cheerful, flexible approach to the workload is necessary. This is a busy role which will involve multi-tasking with ever-changing priorities.
You will work alongside the existing administrative and management team. A good understanding of Reception, managing clinicsand National Targets is required.
This post is ideal for an individual with a strong administrative background who thrives in a team environment and has good organisational skills with a high level of computer literacy. They should also have good communication and prioritisation skills. The successful candidate will also need to be able to work on their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
Logging and booking diagnostic tests.
Managing diagnostic waits in accordance with National Targets and the Patient Access Policy.
Working on Reception, greeting and booking patients into the department. Dealing with all queries, completing outcomes, taking telephone calls.
Dealing with all patient telephone queries.
