Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to join our clinical pharmacy team on a bank contract.
Main duties of the job
The role involves providing a rotational clinical service to specialist ward areas undertaking activities which will include -
- Identifying patients at a higher clinical risk, ensuring that they are prioritised
- Obtaining drug histories using summary care records and reconciling against the patients prescription chart
- Assessing patients own medicines
- Ordering patients medicines as part of discharge preparation
- Developing a skill set within a variety of specialist areas
You will be a key member of the clinical pharmacy team serving a range of specialities across the hospital site. The role will also include dispensary based duties including dispensing and checking inpatient and discharge prescriptions for patients within agreed turnaround times. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their clinical knowledge and undertake a nationally recognised medicines management and clinical prioritisation programme.
