Job summary
We are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated staff nurse to join our team on ward 106/107. We are a busy unit, consisting of 32 beds across a double template ward.
We take care of Urology and Gynaecology patients pre and post operatively. If you have an interest in working in this area, please don't hesitate to apply.
Newly qualified and 3rd year students welcome to apply and will be supported.
Main duties of the job
- Care of patients pre and post operatively
- Medicines management
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team
- Advocate for patients
- Documentation (care plans, risk assessments)
- Prioritisation of workload
- Take on the responsibility and accountability for allocated patients.
- Observations
- Venepuncture and cannulation
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies
- Knowledge of complex discharges
- Knowledge of palliative care
- Knowledge of TVN
