Band 6 Clinical Nurse Educator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Educator on ward 201 and Emergency Assessment unit within University Hospital North Midlands
We provide cancer care to a local population of 700,000 and diagnose approximately 2,400 new cases of cancer each year. We have the facilities to diagnose and treat all types of cancers, and pride ourselves in giving high standards of care throughout the patient's treatment, providing a relaxed, friendly environment in which they can receive their treatment safely.
All nurses within our team gain experience in all aspects of giving anti-cancer therapies in addition to honing assessment skills in identifying and treating side effects, working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams across our Cancer Centre. We are keen to invest in our workforce and their education, having the opportunity to work closely with the clinical education team to build a personal developmental plan and training package, which can include the health assessment and nurse prescribing course. The cancer centre is a supportive environment to work and allowing staff to grow both professionally and academically within cancer care.
