An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The North Midlands and Black Country Procurement Group (NMBC) as an a Operational Procurement Materials Management Officer.

You will work as part of a Team to provide an efficient and reliable Materials Management Service throughout the Trust by managing ward/department stock profiles and replenishing products to agreed stock levels. To provide an inventory management service to individual Theatres and Anaesthetic Rooms to ensure that stock levels are maintained to meet clinical requirements in accordance with agreed procedures.

With almost 200 staff, 55,000 customers and managing a total non pay spend portfolio of over £1.2b per annum the NMBC is one of the largest and influential Group Procurement Organisations (GPO's) in the NHS.

This post sits in the NMBC, Operational Procurement team and is based at the North Midlands University Hospital NHS Trust at the County Hospital site in Stafford, reporting to the Stephen Kimberley , Operational procurement Warehouse and distribution manager within the NMBC. The role is directly responsible for materials management at ward level, goods receipting and delivering ward based consumables to departments.
