Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 to join the Imaging Interventional Radiology team as a Flow Coordinator Support.
The successful candidate will act as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide a supportive role ensuring the delivery of an efficient, effective and quality interventional radiology service.
The post holder will support the interventional theatre co-ordinator with the effective coordination of the interventional lists on a daily basis, and will have excellent communication skills in order to liaise effectively between different members of the multidisciplinary team.
- A knowledge of the interventional radiology department and its information systems is essential to the role.
- There will be a requirement to also be clinical as per service demands.
- Training and development will be offered.
Main duties of the job
- To review the in-pt request list daily for IR theatres, RDCU and Ultrasound 3.
- To produce theatre lists in advance, identifying any issues that may affect the timely running of theatre for all pts.
- Support clinically within the band 3 role as required with interventional radiology.
- Support RDCU with administrative/ clinical tasks as required.
- Maintain a current list of in-pts throughout the day escalating any urgent requirements/ requests to the clinical lead.
- Liaise with wards and departments and assist in the organisation of inpatients.
- Liaise with Theatre Co-ordinator in Interventional Radiology.
- During quieter periods or downtime support other areas as needed either clinically or administrative within B3 role.
