A secondment opportunity has arisen for 2.0 WTE Band 6 MRI Radiographers to join the UHNM team, supporting the expansion of our scanning service.

- Minimum 3 years post qualifying experience in a busy hospital setting ideally with NHS experience; one year being full time equivalent MRI or cross sectional experience OR demonstrating a leadership role.
Main duties of the job
This is an excellent job opportunity for individuals who wish to enhance their skills in a busy department of efficiency, patient experience and strong work ethic. We pride ourselves on the breadth of our clinical workload and expertise, delivering a full range of MRI examinations.
We were one of the first Trusts in the UK to scan both conditional and Non- conditional cardiac devices.
We operate a 7 day a week service, 7am-8pm rotating across all UHNM sites,. There is an expectation that once trainfed, staff will participate in the on call rota.
We are a friendly, dynamic forward thinking and planning service.
The department has 2 Siemens Vida 3T scanners and 1 Siemens 1.5T Sola installed in 2019 with their replacement through MES in 2025, all are equipped with the DRB acceleration software. As a further part of our replacement programme, the Valley Centre has 2 new Sola scanners installed, both with up to date software. We currently have a state of the art Siemen's Viato mobile scanner, providing our CDC service. The County Hospital site, has Sola and Skyra Siemen's scanner, which are to be replaced in 2025.
We are currently have a business case for a further scanner as part of our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This is well underway and goes live in 2025. This would take the UHNM MRI service to 9 MRI scanners in total.

- DCR/BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers
- Current HCPC registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Evidence of specific interest in an MRI role and MRI related learning
Experience

- Evidence of recent Imaging related study (within last 24 months)
- Minimum 4 years NHS, or equivalent, clinical experience in an area of high acute demand.
Desirable
- Post qualification cross sectional imaging experience in MRI or Cross Sectional Imaging
