Job summary

The University of North Midlands is looking to recruit an Estates Services Manager to work within the Estates Team at Royal Stoke University Hospital.You will be keen and enthusiastic working within a large team to provide the day to day management of the Estates Workshops .

Main duties of the job

The candidate will ideally have experience of managing a multi-disciplinary Estates team and have a clear understanding of meeting targets and KPI`s. You will be responsible for the management of the Estates Craft staff .

Job responsibilities

Technical support to the Engineering Team Leaders and day to day management of the workforce, establishing an efficient and effective team with high performance standards.All engineering aspects of the estate including but not limited to steam, air conditioning, LTHW, water services, medical gas, electrical services - HV and LV, nurse call systems etc.Responsible for ensuring that engineering maintenance, including contract work is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications.Ensures compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, technical guidance, Health Technical Memorandums (HTM's); these include but not limited to sterilisation, decontamination, asbestos, legionella, and ACP's; develops policies in specialist field and ensures their implementation.Provides/organises/gives training as appropriate; supervises and manages staff.Management of maintenance Team Leader, Technicians, and staff.Implements and maintains physical assets register; oversees minor schemes.
