Imaging SharePoint Support Officer

Job summary

This is an exciting new post opportunity in Imaging.

The post holder will be responsible for providing support to the Quality and Research Team and to the Imaging Directorate as a whole, assisting with the on-going development and maintenance of Imaging's SharePoint site to support effective document control. This will involve troubleshooting and resolving any SharePoint issues, providing support to a wide range of Imaging SharePoint users (including clinical, nursing, administrative and management staff).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also:o Work closely with all Imaging SharePoint users to assess their needs and requirements providing assurance of effective document control thus supporting any internal and external requirements. o Be expected to provide Imaging SharePoint support/training at all Imaging departments across UHNM to include County hospital and peripheral sites as and when required.o Manage SharePoint permissions, restricting and revoking access as required.o Support Imaging staff with cleansing and archiving of data to ensure sufficient storage space updating content based on user requirements.o Liaise with the Trust IM&T department and act as a lead within Imaging on the implementation of the new SharePoint 365 software, acting as a superuser and providing training to Imaging staff.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for Imaging SharePoint queries, resolving issues and supporting users with their needs to ensure effective document control which is essential to Imagings external assessment requirements.

Have an awareness of document control requirements to meet any internal/external assessment requirements, assisting with any evidence required to provide assurance that Imaging is meeting the required standards. Provide SharePoint/IT support with any Imaging on site assessments.

The post holder will take every opportunity to learn, develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Imaging SharePoint ensuring that they are up to date with any changes or updates to the system. This may require undertaking additional training.

Is responsible for maintaining their own standards and to deliver a high-quality service in a constantly changing busy NHS environment.

Work with all modality teams/Imaging staff taking ownership for resolving specific SharePoint queries escalating where necessary, carrying out routine housekeeping and system maintenance.

To support a large number of users from a wide range of disciplines with varying levels of SharePoint knowledge and skills.

Support the Quality and Research Team when requested and participate in projects both within Imaging and across the Trust and local health economy that require knowledge of Imagings SharePoint system.

Record and document dayto-day maintenance and faults via the appropriate mechanism for the given supplier.

Participate with the system testing to validate the safe and effective implementation of Imaging SharePoint specific software and hardware upgrades and their compatibility with interfaced systems and modalities.

Communicate daily with all levels of staff including radiologists, radiographers, technicians, nurses, management and administrative grades. Provide first line support and advice to the user community on the use and operation of the Imaging SharePoint system.

The post holder will have a key relationship with the PACS and IM&T Team.

Communicate with external helpdesk operators and IM&T for the logging of any SharePoint incidents.

Represent the department to all users in a polite and helpful manner either noting requirements to be passed to senior colleagues or dealing with requests as appropriate.

The post holder will be required to work within all Imaging appropriate policies, standard operating procedures and adhere to high professional standards. They will be able to exhibit Trust values and promises.

  • Liaise with the Trust IM&T department and lead within Imaging on the implementation of the new SharePoint 365 software, acting as a superuser and providing a training programme to Imaging staff. Ensure any changes or updates to the system are well communicated to the Directorate.
