Job summary

An exciting development opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Deputy Directorate to work within Maternity, Neonates & Gynaecology.

The Directorate Management Team are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent people skills. You will work closely with the Directorate Manager, Clinical Director and the Senior Management Team. The post holder will ensure optimum and on-going performance in line with corporate objectives, NHS targets and best practice.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Directorate in delivering an integrated, responsive and effective services across two hospital sites (Royal Stoke and County hospital; collectively known as the University Hospital of North Midlands) and Peripheral areas. The post holder will be working in a rapidly changing environment and achieving tight deadlines and in order to support in the achievement of this you will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and able to demonstrate experience of change and people management.

Alongside the Senior Management Team you will lead on the day to day running of the Directorate and be responsible for the delivery of operational performance targets.

You will assist and support the Clinical Director and Directorate Manager in developing and implementing short and long term service strategies, workforce redesign and contract monitoring.
