Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an Admin Assistant in the Urology department based at Royal Stoke Hospital.

This is an exciting post for someone looking to join the NHS and work within an experienced secretarial team in a Hospital environment.

The post holder will need to demonstrate good communication skill, flexibility, reliability and have an organised approach to their work.

The post holder will have skills in all areas of administrative functions to enable them to support the patient pathway.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for communicating information, both written and verbal, with patients, staff and carers requiring tact and diplomacy.

The candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills within the NHS and will be able to gain experience of basic administration duties using a variety of systems and deal with members of the public. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent typing and interpersonal skills to support the provision of an efficient and effective clerical support service to the department.

Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy environment undertaking a variety of administrative processes and practices.

Candidates should also be willing to work as part of a team as well as being able to use their own initiative and prioritise their workload to meet deadlines.
