Main duties of the job

Supporting Child Health secretaries with basic admin duties.Covering reception during absence.Supporting with filing clinics at short notice.Providing an Advice & Guidance service to our GP's.

About us

Working with the members of the Divisional management team, administration and clerical staff, all medical, nursing and midwifery staff. Other staff within the Trust as appropriate. External contacts relevant to the nature of the work of the Division, patients and visitors as appropriate.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will plan and organise own tasks, plan and prioritise own workload and may arrange meeting for others ensuring patients notes are requested and provided in a timely manner. Ensuring incoming and outgoing correspondence is dealt with in a timely manner.The Post holder is required to have dexterity, coordination for keyboard skills or equivalent. The post holder will be required to follow departmental policies.The post holder will follow office and secretarial practices to continually improve service deliver. The post holder may be involved with the timely resolution of verbal complaints, as well as have involvement in the formal complaint process in line with the Trusts Policy and Procedure for the Handling of Complaints.To take every reasonable opportunity to maintain and improve your professional knowledge and competence and to participate in personal objective setting and review, including the creation of a personal development plan.
