Job summary
The Senior Sister will be responsible for the operational delivery of the Outpatient services at RSUH and County Hospital, under the guidance of the Outpatient Matron.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Sister will work closely with the Outpatient management team producing balanced score cards demonstrating financial and budgetary management, operational effectiveness, HR and quality outcomes, attending Directorate and Divisional meetings to present the position, vision and strategy of the department when Outpatient Matron is unable to attend .
The Senior Sister will be responsible for the delivery of Clinic Nurse Manager meeting's and Directorate meetings producing minutes and action plans.
The Senior Sister will be responsible for leading on or implementing quality initiative to support innovative and evidence based management and care.

The Senior Sister for the Outpatient services will work with the Matron and Directorate Manager to ensure the Service Level Agreements for the delivery of Outpatients is met, ensuring the workforce is available with the correct skills and training to deliver the required clinics.
The Senior Sister will support the nursing team to set and deliver clinical standards for quality patient outcomes monitoring clinical effectiveness and undertaking audit programs, implementing action plans if required. Ensuring clear lines of governance are in place and the delivery of the patient safety agenda is evident.
