Gastrointestinal Advanced Practitioner Radiographer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable radiographer to join our GI and Procedural Imaging team at UHNM, as a Gastrointestinal Advanced Practitioner Radiographer.
The successful candidate will be committed to providing our patients and clinicians with the very best quality of care and service in line with the UHNM trust values.
The team performs and supports the interpretation of around 2300 CT Colonograms per annum and between the Royal Stoke and County Hospital sites.
The post holder will work to a defined job plan to support the delivery of the CT Colonography service cross-site.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will possess a post graduate level qualification related to CT Colonography or have completed Module A of the National CT Colonography Training & Accreditation Programme. The post holder will perform CT Colonography studies to a high standard, providing exemplar patient care, and optimal acquisition of studies. The post holder will perform an initial radiographer interpretation of the acquired CT Colonography study, expediting the radiologist reporting of these where necessary and highlighting cases to the colorectal multidisciplinary team meeting where appropriate.

The post holder will work at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust as an advanced practitioner radiographer within the defined scope of professional practice working as part of the advanced practice workforce.
The post holder will possess a post graduate level qualification related to CT Colonography or have completed Module A of the National CT Colonography Training & Accreditation Programme. The post holder will perform CT Colonography studies to a high standard, providing exemplar patient care, and optimal acquisition of studies. As a training centre, the post holder will eventually be required to facilitate training to candidates who have enrolled onto the National CT Colonography Training and Accreditation Programme.
The post holder will be required to work between the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital sites. Further role advancement may become available should service need develop.
