Job summary
An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen as a Band 7 Deputy Directorate Manager within the Trauma Directorate for 12 months. The Directorate comprises T&O, Paediatric T&O, Spinal Surgery and Neurosurgery.
The Directorate Management Team are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual. You will work closely with the Directorate Manager, the Clinical Director, the Matron and the Senior Management Team. The post holder will ensure optimum and on-going performance in line with corporate objectives, NHS targets and best practice.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Directorate in delivering an integrated, responsive and effective Trauma service service across two hospital sites (Royal Stoke and County hospital; collectively known as the University Hospital of North Midlands). Working in a rapidly changing environment and achieving tight deadlines, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and able to demonstrate experience of change and people management.
Alongside the Senior Management Team you will lead on the day to day running of the directorate and be responsible for the delivery of operational performance targets.
You will assist and support the Clinical Director and Directorate Manager indeveloping and implementing short and long term service strategies, workforce redesign and contract monitoring.
