Job summary
The aim of the role is to provide a quality service to women with a variety of Early Pregnancy Gynaecological conditions. The practitioner role delivers high quality evidence based care within this specialised field and maintains clinical excellence.
The post holder will practice as an expert within the specialty of Gynaecology and will provide professional advice to patients, carers and staff. The ward manager will be responsible for contributing to service development and redesign in line with the Trusts Strategic Direction.
The post holder will act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower staff to develop both personally and professionally and achieve their maximum potential. Conduct the appraisal of staff; formulate the development of personal development plans by utilising the KSF framework in line with Trust policy.
They will have a responsibility to facilitate the collection of data and ensure that audit information is utilised to improve the efficiency of the service to incorporate new ways of working where necessary.
The post holder will also ensure that all staff is aware of and practice within Trust Health and Safety policy and guidelines and adhering to risk management strategies. Implement Trust policies relating to Child Protection and work closely with the multidisciplinary agencies and provide support for Staff.
