An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Dietitian to join the community team covering North Warwickshire and Rugby caseloads on a 1 year fixed term basis.
You will provide dietetic interventions for nutrition support, weight management, non-complex gastro and diabetes, and general dietetic advice to people in their own homes, care homes and in outpatient clinics. You will support with the delivery of training to staff around nutrition and hydration standards.
The role also includes reviewing diet sheets, contributing to audits, delivering education sessions and supporting student training.
You will join a friendly, collaborative team of dietitians, dietetic assistants and admin staff working across Warwick, Leamington & George Eliot Hospital, and the community. We are a forward-thinking service, committed to high-quality care and ongoing service improvement.

Main duties of the job
Advise on the dietary management of patients with a range of medical conditions in community locations.
Work autonomously to assess and treat own caseload of patients, with support as necessary from senior colleagues.
Plan, deliver and evaluate training and education to other healthcare professionals, patient groups and the public.
Liaise with dietetic colleagues and other members of multidisciplinary teams as necessary e.g. medical, nursing, catering and other health or social care professionals.
Promote the ethos of self-management and prevention to patients, staff and carers to prevent nutritional problems, medical conditions and complications.
Please note: we are exploring the option of rotational Band 5 posts in the department so there is a possibility you may get to experience other clinical areas or localities in your role in the future. A permanent post may also become available in the future
