Job summary
Are you looking to make a difference to stroke survivors in Warwickshire? This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, organised and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Warwickshire Integrated Community Stroke Service.
In this post you will be working within a large team of therapists and assistants from different disciplines including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians and Psychologists. The post holder will be providing assessment and rehabilitation within two distinct care pathways: Active Rehabilitation & Neuro Management. The varied role provides opportunity to further develop specialist clinical skills in the area of stroke.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has considerable skills and experience in the assessment and treatment of stroke patients to join our supportive multidisciplinary team. A passion for working with people, excellent communication skills, flexibility, good time management and organisational skills are essential for this post. The post holder will be required to travel so the ability to do this independently is essential.
The post will predominantly be based within North Warwickshire locality team currently based at Wayside House however travel across the county and support to our South locality team based at Leamington Spa may be required.
You will receive support through appraisal, supervision, team meetings plus access to in-house training.
Part and Full time hours considered.
Main duties of the job
To provide an effective service delivery and to be responsible for junior Occupational Therapy staff within the speciality.
To manage an agreed caseload of patients within the service speciality area.
To assist senior staff in the designated area of speciality to implement and meet the recognised professional standards, the agreed therapy pathway and best practice.
