We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Lead - VTE and Anticoagulation to join our team.
In this role, you will manage a team of nurses and provide expert leadership, clinical care, education, and support to staff, patients and carers.
The successful applicant will be expected to be able to work independently and be competent to undertake autonomous clinical assessments of anticoagulation patients, formulate clinical management plans and implement or recommend medication initiation and titration.
The successful applicant should be a registered nurse with post-registration experience in VTE and anticoagulation. They must have excellent IT skills and possess a qualification in clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a clinically based expert practitioner with a proven track record in management who will take a key role in strengthening the nursing contribution to patients and service users within the speciality across the organisation.
The post holder will be expected to lead and participate in advanced nursing services related to VTE and anticoagulation.
In partnership with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), the post holder will lead, develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist anticoagulation service. This role is vital in delivering the highest standards of clinical care and support in efficiency to drive improvements in health outcomes.
The post holder will demonstrate highly developed and highly specialist knowledge and expertise in VTE and anticoagulation and will be responsible for contributing for the ongoing development of innovative practice, audit, research and standards of care.
