Job summary
We are recruiting for Clinical Support Worker's to join Mary Ward, Nicholas Ward & Beauchamp Ward at our hospital in Warwick.
Mary Ward is a 25-bedded respiratory ward caring for patients with acute medical conditions, including COPD, lung cancer, pneumonia, and other respiratory diseases. Some patients may require non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP). Many of our patients are known to the team over months or even years between admissions, allowing us to build strong, supportive relationships. We also provide palliative and end-of-life care, working closely with specialist teams to ensure compassionate support and effective symptom management.
Beauchamp Ward consists of 15 en suite side rooms and cares for up to 17 patients with a wide range of conditions. We frequently care for patients with infectious conditions, particularly during the winter months when respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses are more common. The ward also supports patients with additional needs, including neurodiverse patients, and provides a private, dignified environment for those in the last hours or days of life.
Nicholas Ward is a 27-bedded acute emergency care unit supporting older adults living with frailty. The team works within a specialist, supportive multidisciplinary environment to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills in dementia care, long-term condition management, and patient support.

Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker will undertake high quality, caring and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction and supervision of the registered professional and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
As a Clinical Support Worker (CSW) you make a valuable and important contribution to the delivery of high quality healthcare in the Trust. Your role is to support the registered professional in the delivery of safe, effective, compassionate care to patients and their relatives. This job description is to be read in conjunction with the person specification for this particular job.
