Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Specialty Doctor to join the Specialist Palliative Care teams. The successful applicant will join an established team of consultants and clinical nurse specialists in 2 different areas across Warwickshire, initially in Rugby and South Warwickshire.
It is anticipated that the Palliative Care teams across SWFT will continue to grow over the next few years, creating exciting opportunities for further development into services for patients with non-malignant diagnoses.
Both teams are supported by Palliative Care secretaries.
Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist palliative care. Initially, this will be in Rugby (2 days) and South Warwickshire (3 days) and may change as the role adapts to individual interests and service needs.
- Participate in weekly MDT meetings in the relevant areas.
- Support Clinical Nurse Specialists and contribute to community reviews and outpatient clinics.
- Engage in patient administration and service development.
- Participate in annual appraisal and GMC revalidation.
