Perineal Pelvic Health Co-ordinator for Maternity Services

Job summary
Are you a midwife, nurse or physiotherapist with an interest in perinatal pelvic health? As part of the NHS Long Term Plan, all expectant women and birthing people and their partners should have access to Perinatal Pelvic Health clinics and pathways. As part of this pathway all women and birthing people should be supported during pregnancy, childbirth and at least one year following birth.
The post holder will work with the Perineal Specialist Midwife and the PPHS Physiotherapist to achieve all key performance indicators that have been set out by NHS England by providing individualised support to women in a flexible and innovative way.
Main duties of the job

The post holder will work with the Perineal Specialist Midwife and the PPHS Physiotherapist the maternity team to achieve all key performance indicators that have been set out by NHS England by providing individualised support to women and families in a flexible and innovative way.

This post will contribute to tackling inequalities in health through promoting and supporting people to improve their pelvic health. It focuses on engaging with people in all maternity settings and offering them practical support to help them to achieve their own choices and goals. While supporting them to make positive health changes that will improve pregnancy & birth outcomes and longer-term family health.
This post will also provide support and guidance and co-ordinate perineal and pelvic health activities with guidance from the Perineal Specialist Midwife. Liaising with multi-professional colleagues to deliver specialist clinical practice and to deliver education, research, audit and evidence-based practice within the speciality.
