Base: County Wide, with clinical bases in Warwick, Rugby & Nuneaton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Instructor to join our Integrated Children's Community Occupational Therapy Team. This is a developmental role offering training and support to build essential clinical skills in line with our service-specific competency framework. During your probationary period, you will work towards Band 3 competencies, with progression to the Band 4 framework once achieved.
You will primarily support the special school pathway for children and young people aged 0-19 but may work across the service as needed. You will deliver developmentally appropriate intervention programmes, coordinate clinical appointments involving multiple agencies, and order, track, install, adjust, and maintain specialist supportive equipment for children and young people.
Therapy is delivered in clinics, homes, and educational settings, so an independent means of transport is essential.
Experience as a therapy assistant or in an educational setting is desirable, but we welcome adaptable, positive team players eager to learn.

Main duties of the job
The role of the Assistant Practitioner is to deliver a high quality, caring and compassionate patient care. The post holder will be undertake assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs for a defined group of patients under the indirect supervision of a registered professional in their specialist area. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
