We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic clinician who is passionate about patients with continence issues. With health promotion being at the forefront of care delivery we are a service which aims to achieve a positive difference to patients' suffering from bladder and bowel dysfunction.
As a Clinical practitioner you will have proven organisational, management and computer skills as well as being able to work collaboratively with other members of the Bladder & Bowel Specialist team in delivering a holistic high quality of care. You will be supporting patients, carers, family members by assessing and developing individual plans of care, providing teaching and initiating management strategies. This would include pelvic floor exercise plans, bladder retraining, and bladder scanning and bowel irrigation, reviewing of plans and liaising with other multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.
As a clinical role model, you will be responsible in assisting with delivering bladder & bowel-based training to our community teams and other stakeholders.
You will be supported by use of local and national guidelines relating to continence care and evidence based practice.
Main duties of the job
To undertake holistic bladder and bowel assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating care primarily to the adult population specifically in the area of Bladder and Bowel health.
Providing Bladder and bowel advice and education to professionals working within the health care economy.
Working with patients and carer's promoting continence whenever this is applicable, and where not achievable the aim will be to manage incontinence to a high standard
