An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Deputy Lead Practitioner post (Band 6).
We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, has a kind and caring attitude towards patients and colleagues and can be a positive team member and role model. who wishes to expand their skills in the health care setting and develop their leadership skills
The Endoscopy Unit at South Warwickshire Foundation Trust is located on the main Warwick site. The Unit consists of three procedure rooms which are all equipped to undertake therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and ERCP in X-ray.
The Unit is open Monday to Sunday 08:00 - 18:30 (N.B. weekend and evening sessions opening is as per demand dictates). Outside of these hours an on-call system operates for endoscopic emergencies.
Endoscopy is a rapidly developing service with advances in diagnostic and therapeutic therapies constantly evolving. The service offers a broad range of therapies for patients diagnosed with Gastroenterological disorders and operates a 24 hour on call service for patients with GI bleeds. It is a fast-paced environment. All site teams are friendly and supportive and welcome new staff.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the Lead Practitioner run the endoscopy service
- To provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing a team
- To ensure the team deliver effective patient care by providing clinical and managerial leadership
- Maintaining Jag and CQC accreditation
- Helping to build the service
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the development of the ward team and support the Ward Manager in the delivery of a consistently high quality and cost effective service. To deputise for the Ward Manager as required.
