Job summary

This is an exciting time to join our brand new Cardiology Catheter Suite at South Warwickshire University Foundation Trust . The base for this role will be on the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, but will rotate where the service is needed. As a unit we compromise of an acute ward (Malins) which is general medicine with a specialty of cardiology; we also have a 9 bedded Coronary care unit for level 2 patients.

The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and recovery area is where you will be supported in developing your knowledge, skills and experience caring for patients needing Angiograms, Device implantation and Cardioversions.

Our progressive service has an established cardiac rehabilitation team, nurse facilitated cardioversion service, specialist nurses supporting the cardiac outreach service and supported by dedicated Cardiology Advanced Clinical Practitioners.

We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team to support the delivery of excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

To deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or medical treatment. The post holders will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and implementation and evaluation of the programme of the care. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
