Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Inpatient Physiotherapy Team for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant/Assistant Practitioner. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well-motivated, compassionate team member to join our dynamic and forward thinking team.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Orthopaedic team and will assess and treat patients, providing exemplary care. They will recommend management and discharge plans for patients, while referring closely to protocols designed and allocated by physiotherapists. The chosen candidate will work autonomously, developing their own caseload, while supporting physiotherapists within the team to provide high quality care to patients with a variety of conditions.
Previous experience in a Healthcare setting is essential.
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust has a commitment to providing a seven day service and therefore there is a requirement to undertake weekend working.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Assistant Practitioner is to deliver a high quality, caring and compassionate patient care. The post holder will be undertake assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs for a defined group of patients under the indirect supervision of a registered professional in their specialist area. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
