Job summary
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Governance Lead to join our Education team. This pivotal role will support the development, delivery, and quality assurance of clinical education across the southern region of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
- Help to develop and oversee the Trust's clinical education programme, including simulation and digital learning.
- Support and develop Education Leads and Practitioners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based training.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to shape national and local education programmes.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and strategic objectives.
- Act as a clinical and educational role model, promoting excellence in patient care and professional development.

Essential
- Relevant BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent and working towards a relevant post-graduate level qualification such as MSc.
- Cert Ed or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification at level 6 or above.
- HCPC / NMC registered clinician.
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience as a Registered Health Care Professional.
Desirable
- Management or Clinical Leadership qualification.
- Membership of the College of Paramedics.
- ALS / EPALS provider.
Previous Experience (Paid or Unpaid)

- Experience of clinical mentoring.
- Experience of teaching pre and post registration healthcare professionals in class-based and operational settings.
