Job summary

To look after all of our buildings, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Estates Officer to join our Estates Team.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to support the provision of a fit for purpose, responsive, safe and cost-effective estates service to South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Estates Officers have day to day responsibility for the management of operational aspects of Trust buildings, its partnership organisations and internal customers ensuring they are progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, are patient focused, safe, efficient, and effective.
Estates Officers will contribute to the planning and delegation of minor estates schemes/projects, including liaison with operational teams and professions such as contractors, suppliers, planning officers and specialist consultants.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record within a similar role in Facilities Management or Building Services. Able to work under their own steam and as part of a wider team, they will have a sound knowledge of contractor management, health and safety and project management are essential. In addition, they will be be a confident and empathetic communicator with strong attention to detail, good judgement, a passion for delivery across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment whilst having the ability to build productive relationships.
