Job summary

The Trust have an exciting opportunity for a secondment of Crime Reduction Lead (Security Management) to join the Trust to take corporate oversight and management of security within the organisation.

The post holder with have extensive knowledge and experience in the area of corporate security management. The post holder will be up to date on issues such as physical security, access control, policy and procedure and up to date with the local, regional and national emerging threats and risk relating to security.

This role is not just about asset protection, it is about a holistic approach to corporate risk mitigation, preventing a silo approach to security, and ensuring key functions and our people are protected, so we can provide our service in a safe working environment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the identification and mitigation of security risks at critical sites and working with colleagues in all directorates to manage and mitigate security risks. A key part of the role will be fostering excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in the operations, estates and EPRR functions of the Trust, working collaboratively with them to identify and mitigate these risks.

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence.

Education and qualifications

Essential

  • Masters Degree or above (or equivalent experience) in Security Management.
  • Recognised post graduate qualification in security management, or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • NHS Recognised Security Management Qualification (ASMS).
  • Teaching or training qualification.
  • Basic health and safety qualification i.e. IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Membership of the National Association of Healthcare Security / The Security Institute (Chartered Membership)
