Job summary
To assist the HART & EPRR Manager and EPRR Officers responsible for the provision of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) in line with the EPRR Interoperable Capability Standards. The post holder will support the EPRR Officers with the provision of training delivery and exercising, moving equipment and vehicles and maintaining the training equipment. The role holder will be required to work at various locations across the Trust area.
Main duties of the job
- Ensure the continuous preparedness of the SORT training equipment;
- Understand and support SORT training;
- Maintenance and ordering of training equipment as directed;
- Support the achievement and maintenance of the EPRR Core and Interoperable Capabilities Standards;
- Work closely with the EPRR Support Officers who are responsible for the preparedness of SORT equipment and vehicles for operational deployment as directed by line manager;
- Work closely with the EPRR Support Officers to maintain accurate information on the EPRR fleet database so that up-to-date information is available at all times to support operational deployment;
- Maintain own training and development in EPRR;
- Attend/participate in all training deemed appropriate and necessary to ensure effective performance and personal development;
- The post holder may be expected to work in locations other than their base as required, for which suitable transport and/or accommodation will be provided by SWASFT;
- The post holder will drive a vehicle in a manner that is within the law and the standards for driving within the Trust and be fully aware of health and safety requirements whilst possessing the vehicle
