Job summary

If you are ready to start your career journey but you want to see more of the world, we have just the ticket for you. South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust, in the heart of England, is looking for newly-qualified Paramedics to join one of the UK's most advanced Trusts.

Come and join the Trust as a newly qualified Paramedic and be provided with opportunities to use your advanced skills following a UK familiarisation programme. You will earn an annual salary as a newly qualified Paramedic of £28,407 plus unsocial enhancements.

You will be provided with driving support and development to enable you to obtain a UK driving licence and qualify to drive category C1 vehicles in the UK.

You will be supported through the registration process to become a UK Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registered Paramedic.

Once you have successfully completed your driving qualification and obtained HCPC registration (which takes approximately 3 months), you will then work as a newly qualified Paramedic.

Candidates will be invited to attend a Teams interview during November 2023.

We anticipate, if successful, you would join us towards the end of January 2024 depending on the speed of Visa and employment checks in order to commence training in February 2024.

*You must be based in New Zealand to apply.

Main duties of the job

As a newly qualified Paramedic the first six months of your employment will be your preceptorship, during which you will be supported by an experienced Paramedic to develop your confidence as an independent professional, and your manager will work with you to ensure your abilities, skills, attendance, behaviour and attitude meet required standards
