Join Our Early Intervention in Psychosis Team as a CBTp Therapist

Are you passionate about delivering meaningful, recovery-focused psychological therapies? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated CBT for Psychosis (CBTp) Therapist to join our dynamic Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service. Offering evidence-based assessment, formulation, and individual and group CBTp interventions.

Working as part of a warm, skilled, and compassionate MDT, you will collaborate closely with nurses, psychologists, OTs, psychiatrists, and support workers to create innovative, person-centred packages of care. You will also contribute to the wider development of psychological practice within the team through specialist consultation, supervision, and training for colleagues.

Main duties of the job

EIP Team and our At Risk Mental State (ARMS) pathway. They will play a significant role in supporting the ongoing expansion in CBTp and CBT provision through direct delivery, and the supervision and training of staff. The postholder will work as an integral member of the EIP MDT and work closely with the wider team of EIP/ARMS psychological services staff including psychologists, family therapists, and psychological therapists.

As an accredited CBTp Therapist, the post-holder will contribute to the EIP service by:-

Delivering assessment, formulation, and individual and group CBT interventions, independently

on a day-to-day basis. They will offer CBT for psychosis (CBTp), and CBT for other comorbid

mental health difficulties where appropriate.

Offering specialist CBT advice, consultation, training, and supervision.

They will also supervise those staff undergoing CBT training or delivering CBT-informed

interventions within the EIP service.

The post-holder will work with people experiencing a first episode of psychosis, who often experience complex, multi-faceted difficulties; and liaise with a wide range of both statutory and non-statutory agencies to provide creative packages of care.

They will maintain their BABCP accreditation, have experience of delivering CBT supervision, and be willing to engage in further supervisory training as deemed necessary.
