Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) is excited to offer opportunities for a Hospital Administrator within our newly developed Community and Assessment Treatment Unit (CATU) and Same day emergency care (SDEC) which is one of the many ways the NHS is working to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time for patients.
Patients are admitted direct for assessment from home or emergency department . It aims to benefit both patients and the healthcare system by reducing waiting times and hospital admissions, where appropriate.
Shifts will work on a rotational basis with some weekend working.
You will need to be extremely organised and pay close attention to detail and be flexible to deal with changing work environments and priorities. Having the ability to learn newprocesses and procedures quickly will also be necessary.Previous experience of working in a patient or client-focused environment will be an advantage, as will flexibility and experience of working in abusy environment.
Main duties of the job
Act as first point of contact for telephone and face to face enquiries by patients, their relatives and carers, health and social care professionals, referrers and the general public.
Register patients on relevant system to process recording of clinical activity and quality of information held.
Discharge patients from caseload as directed by the clinical team.
Liaising with other organisations including acute providers.
provide information, written, verbal by telephone, e-mail, letter to staff from other departments and partner agencies.
Prepare patient case-notes with relevant forms/templates.
