Job summary
We are looking for a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist to join the East CAMHS Team
Applicants will need to be self-motivated,ideally have prior experience of working in an acute mental health services and have completed the MSc course in Clinical Associate Psychology to be considered for this post.
BPS registration is requiredfollowing appointment.We understand that the BPS requires CAPs to be in current employment and receiving supervision before they can register. The successful applicant will therefore register with the BPS once they have commenced employment and supervision is in place.

Main duties of the job
You will be an integral part of the inpatient therapy team, as well as a key member of the wider MDT, supporting clinical staff and providing interventions on the ward. We are looking for someone with clinical experience who is already working as a Clinical Associate Psychologist, preferably within children's mental health services, although this is not essential. The successful candidate will be required todraw upon the developing evidence base to support assessment, formulation, intervention, and evaluation processes at Sowenna.
This will include contributing to individual and group patient work, providing staff support with reflection and de-briefing processes, and coordinating the routine outcome measures currently used to measure effectiveness. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to services audits and research developments, all under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
