Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced psychological therapy professional to join our innovative Talking Therapies service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care for adults and their families across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
As a senior member of the team, you will take responsibility for ensuring the systematic and effective provision of therapy within the service, helping to shape and enhance the delivery of psychological interventions that make a real difference to the lives of local people.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Professionally qualified in a relevant psychological therapy discipline.
- Confident in delivering specialist assessments and interventions.
- Experienced in providing clinical supervision to multidisciplinary psychological therapy staff.
- Passionate about high-quality, person-centred care.
- Committed to working collaboratively to advance the quality and impact of psychological therapies across our communities.
Main duties of the job
Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to adults presenting with common mental health difficulties, including those living with long-term physical health conditions. Hold a defined clinical caseload, using a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches appropriate to service needs. Offer clinical supervision, consultation, and support to trainee and qualified High Intensity Therapists. Provide supervision and guidance to Doctoral Trainee Clinical or Counselling Psychologists, ensuring safe, effective, and reflective practice . Contribute to the ongoing development of a dynamic and compassionate Talking Therapies service committed to clinical excellence and innovation.
This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
