Job summary

Are you a compassionate, motivated Health Care Assistant looking to make a real difference in fast-paced outpatient and minor injuries settings? We're looking for someone who thrives on variety, teamwork, and delivering excellent patient care. As a valued member of our Outpatients and MIU team, you will play a key part in supporting clinicians and consultants to deliver safe, high-quality care. No two days are the same -- you may be assisting with clinics, supporting minor procedures, helping book patients in, or ensuring the smooth running of the department. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team committed to delivering the best possible experience for our patients. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills across both Outpatients and Minor Injuries, with access to training and opportunities for progression.

Main duties of the job

  • Assisting clinicians in the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care
  • Supporting patient flow by booking in patients and helping with general patient needs
  • Ensuring clinics run efficiently and safely
  • Carrying out delegated clinical tasks to a high standard
  • Providing administrative support to the wider team as required

  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent qualification / experience
  • NVQ 3 in Direct Care or equivalent qualification / experience
  • Previous experience as a HCA within a hospital setting
  • Experience of working in an urgent care environment / out-patient department
