Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead to join our team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across our Inpatients Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and Community Assessment Treatment Unit (CATU) services.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting their team, department and the wider organisation to achieve the Trust vision of "Delivering high quality care" in all aspects of day-to-day practice. This includes embodying and promoting our CARE values:

You will be responsible for monitoring the quality of care provision, identifying opportunities for service development, and leading on initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and experience.
As a Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical expertise for all patients referred to, assessed, and treated within the SDEC and CATU community nursing caseloads, with a strong focus on admission avoidance. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to creating a whole-systems approach to the management of patients accessing healthcare in the local area.Main duties of the job
The postholder will support their peers and be an effective team member. Whilst working on their own initiative, they will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the nursing team are providing the highest standard of evidenced based clinical care. They will have a commitment to collaborative working and will actively support and liaise with other health and social agencies and professionals.
The postholder will be geographically aligned to neighbourhood networks and be clinically responsible for the diagnosing, prescribing, planning and evaluation of care, ensuring provision of high standards of care to patients and their families within the community. They will work as part of Integrated Teams, working within and across professional and organisational boundaries.
The postholder will be a practitioner who can demonstrate a broad range of competencies and is able to adapt to a wide variety of clinical circumstances. They will be part of a SDEC/CATU leadership team working with the ward manager, where their proven ability to make high level clinical decisions will aid patient outcomes.
