Mental Health Practitioner - Early Intervention

Would you like to be our newly Accredited Early Intervention in Psychosis service in Cornwall?

We are seeking to recruit a qualified mental health practitioner: Nurse, Occupational therapist, social worker etc to work within our First Episode of Psychosis pathway. This is a secondment for a 12 month period covering maternity leave.

The Early Intervention in Psychosis Service in Cornwall was established in 2004 and since then, has gone from strength to strength. It has achieved both local and national recognition for it's quality of service and innovative practice.

The post-holder will also be part of a vibrant and passionate multidisciplinary Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, with strong clinical psychology and psychological therapy provision. Supervision and ongoing support and training will be provided to enable you to develop your expertise and knowledge of psychosis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, recovery-focused mental health care. They will build effective relationships with service users, carers and partner agencies, and contribute to shared team responsibilities.

Under supervision, they will provide clinical assessments, care planning and evidence-based psycho-social interventions, acting as lead healthcare professional for an allocated caseload. They will ensure all practice complies with relevant legislation and Trust policies, and offer advice and support to colleagues and other professionals.

The role also includes participating in supervision, contributing to service development and team performance activities, and supporting student learning through mentorship.
