Due to a maternity leave an opportunity has arisen for a 6 month fixed term position to join the North Kerrier Community Rehab Team working as a specialist physiotherapist.
The post is for 11.25 hours per week. The service currently operates Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays).
The community team treat at a wide range of conditions including stroke, Parkinsons, orthopaedics, amputees and frailty. You will work closely with Team Leads, clinical Band 7 physiotherapists, community occupational therapy colleagues and support workers.
Main duties of the job
o To provide a high standard physiotherapy service, performing advanced assessments of patients including those with highly complex presentations, and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
o To provide leadership for support staff and junior staff through supervision, training and appraisal.
o To participate in the planning and development of Physiotherapy Services within each team.
o To work in a variety of settings predominantly community, but also supporting inpatients when required
