An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Professional & Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join the Inpatient Stroke Service at Bodmin Hospital.

This senior role provides professional and clinical leadership for the Stroke Unit Therapy team. The post holder will be accountable for the professional and clinical performance of stroke therapy staff, ensuring high standards of assessment, treatment and patient-centred care across the service.

This role will include working across a seven-day service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be accountable for the professional and clinical performance of Stroke Unit Therapy staff.

The post holder will work with senior management team to develop and deliver safe and effective services inaccordance with national targets, national and local standards, service priorities and performance indicators,ensuring the provision of evidence-based therapy assessments and interventions for stroke service users andtheir families/carers.

The post-holder will be a member of the Trust-wide AHP professional leadership structure, coordinatingundergraduate and post-qualification learning, development and CPD for therapy in the service line andrepresenting stroke therapy at relevant operational and corporate meetings.

The post holder will maintain their clinical skills through the provision of direct face-to-face complex clinicalwork.

Maintaining a highly complex caseload and using highly developed specialist knowledge and skills to ensure ahigh standard of professional assessment, treatment and care of patients.

This role will include working across a seven-day service.
