We have a permanent role available within the Mental Health Support Team to support an expanding workforce. The position will be focused to support across the service and expand our current management capacity. The role includes line management and clinical oversight of staff ). The post holder will work in close collaboration with the other Team Managers (Restormel, Carrick & East) and our two Service Leads (Cornwall) and Head of Psychological Professionals to ensure that the MHST is delivered in line with its established objectives but also embraces the opportunities available to innovate and develop practice in early intervention. This role will focus on leading and managing the west teams and also supporting planned expansions in west Cornwall over the coming years.

Main duties of the job

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.Successful candidates will be appointed on a permanent basis . You must either have a 'core' profession' for instance a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent (CSS, CQSW, degree in SW), or Allied Health Professional OR a qualified Psychological Professional - You will have extensive experience of delivery and supervision of LICBT in school settings. This post is to manage and lead our West MHST teams.You will have experience of managing or supervising staff. You will have extensive knowledge of child development, understanding of early trauma, identification and assessment of mental health disorders in children and working in multi-disciplinary mental health settings. Whilst a significant portion of your time will comprise of managerial support, over time, there could be the option to hold a small active caseload of children with mild moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will deliver 1:1 or group interventions.
