Main duties of the job

As Ward Manager, you will take clinical and operational responsibility for the ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care in a safe and therapeutic environment. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with professionals, carers, and community services to support recovery-focused care and timely discharge planning.

You will play a key role in shaping and developing services that reflect best practice, innovation, and the principles of reablement and recovery. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a culture of safety, compassion, and excellence.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a registered mental health nurse with current NMC registration.
• Has proven experience in inpatient mental health settings.
• Demonstrates strong clinical leadership and operational management skills.
• Is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• Can inspire and support a team to achieve their full potential.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
