We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our nursing team at St Mary's Hospital on the Isles of Scilly.

The role requires the post-holder to be committed to the ongoing development of the ward and multi disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care.

The post- holder will require a cheerful 'can do' attitude. In return we will support you in your career path.

The working hours consist of a mixture of long days and night shifts in order to support 24-hour nursing care, 7 days a week.

An Island Living Allowance of 5% of the salary is payable to the successful candidate resident on the island. Single person accommodation may be available.

Main duties of the job

o To assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses

o To carry out care / other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Senior Health Care Assistant

o Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a manner sensitive to the individual clients needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights and beliefs at all times

o Contribute to resource management within the clinical area
