Job summary

This role will be based on Willow Stroke Rehabilitation Unit as Liskeard Community Hospital temporarily until 31/12/25. Following this date you will be permanently based on Anchor Ward, Bodmin Community Hospital.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an Selection Day at Carew House, Bodmin on 21st March 2025. This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed.

We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our nursing team for Anchor Ward, Bodmin Community Hospital. This role will require the post holders to be committed to the on-going development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care to our predominantly elderly patients.

This post will require you to undertake a range of Long Days and Night duties on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week. Although based at Bodmin Community Hospital, a flexible working approach is required to support North and East Cornwall Locality Community Hospitals as service needs require.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit full time and part time Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our nursing team for Anchor Ward, Bodmin Community Hospital. These roles will require the post holders to be committed to the on-going development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care to our predominantly elderly patients.

The posts will also provide the opportunity to participate in nurse led care and make contributions to a variety of care pathways. On Anchor ward we are dynamic in our care and offer the opportunity to work in palliative care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic cases as well as a community hospital alcohol detox bed and the amputation care pathway. The Woodfield Stroke Unit provides stroke rehabilitation for patients closer to home in a therapy led unit delivering care within the stroke pathway.
